On Thursday, September 21, a three-week military training for members of the Regie’s Anti-Smuggling Body concluded in Riyak. The program was organized by the Lebanese Regie for Tobacco in cooperation with the Lebanese Army, as part of its ongoing efforts to provide specialized training to its personnel of different specializations.
A ceremony celebrating this achievement took place at the Land Border Regiments Training School, and was attended by Colonel Muhammad Al-Afi, head of the training center, and Engineer Muhammad Zhaher, head of the Anti-Smuggling Body at the Regie.
During the event, Engineer Zhaher delivered a speech in which he commended the Lebanese Army for their pivotal role describing them as “the backbone of the nation’s defense against all forms of threats and aggression, and the symbol of honor, sacrifice and loyalty.”
