The Director General of La Regie Libanaise de Tabacs et Tombacs (Regie) Engineer Nassif Seklaoui received a delegation from the Brazilian international company Souza Cruz and discussed with it the ongoing cooperation between both sides.

On another note, Engineer Seklaoui received a delegation from Baraachit Municipality and offered it a financial grant from Regie to continue the reconstruction of a water pond that allows farmers to irrigate their crops.

He also offered another grant to a delegation from the Municipality of Tayr Deba to open an agricultural road that allows farmers to reach their fields.

Separately, Eng. Seklaoui held a meeting with a delegation from Ras Baalbek headed by Mayor Tanios Mehanna. The meeting which was held in the presence of Father Makhoul Farha, the superior of the Carmelite Order, focused on the developmental and social problems the town is facing.

It is worth noting that the above-mentioned grants are part of Regie’s sustainable development plan.
