The Regie’s President and General Manager Mr. Nassif Seklaoui received in his office in Hadath a delegation of Btedei, Bekaa, presided by the municipal chief Mr. Jean Fakhri. Seklaoui offered the delegation a contribution from the Regie to build irrigation canals.
The delegation thanked Seklaoui for the Regie’s contribution to the project, underlining its developmental role as well as its achievements in the last few years.
Seklaoui, in turn, stressed that the contribution comes within the frame of developmental plan that the Regie had adopted.
delivered a speech in which he focused on the developmental role assumed by Regie by supporting municipalities across Lebanon, and by focusing on sustainable development over the past 4 years from Bekaa to the extreme south. He also mentioned that Imam El-Sader was the one who said “we will work to eliminate deprivation of all communities” and he did not discriminate between a deprived person and another.
Eng. Seklaoui expressed gratitude to the club for hosting the event and for the exerted efforts and vowed to support the municipality of the town to prepare other projects.
After that, Poets Nadim Sheaib, Nazih Abou El-Zor, Imad Sheaib, and Sleiman Jouny participated in the traditional poetry competition.
At the end of the competition, crowds shared the food prepared by the women of the town.
It is worth noting that the Head of the Al-Fajr Club presented an honorary shield to Eng. Seklaoui during the event.
