The RLTT Organizes a Meeting with Tobacco Farmers in Bekaa

The Agriculture Department and Purchase of Bekaa organized a meeting with major tobacco farmers in the region at Basil Al-Assad Cultural Center, in the presence of the Head of Labor Bureau in Amal Movement in Bekaa Eng. Bassam Harb, Head of Tobacco Farmers Union in Bekaa, Mr. Ali El-Moussaoui, as well as members of the union, and several mayors, chiefs of municipalities, and notables of the region.

 

During the meeting, the Head of Agriculture Department and Purchase of Bekaa, Eng. Hassan Hamade spoke about the solid relation between the RLTT and the farmers as well as local communities.

The ceremony started with a welcome statement by the Head of Public Relations Nahla Slim, followed by a speech given by the President of the Syndicate of workers Kamal Yatim who commended on the efforts of the Regie’s workers throughout the hard situation the country has gone through. He praised their sacrifices and dedication which led to the achievements and success witnessed by the Regie today. Yatim confirmed the syndicate’s belief in the business continuity, highlighting the high level of cooperation and awareness in managing the dialogue with the Regie’s administration and the relevant authority as well as the General Committee’s confidence in the board of directors and its administrative and syndical leadership. “The Board presided by Seklaoui always strives to respond to the needs of the employees and workers”, he said. During the ceremony, former president of the Syndicate Fadlallah Cherif was honored.
