Seklaoui representing Berri: we raise the statue while the region witnesses the destruction of churches, worship houses, shrines, and tombs
Within the patronage of the Regie and within the initiative of fishermen syndicate in the South, Tyre’s harbor jetty witnessed, Saturday evening, the inauguration of Al Sayda Holiday Festival, during which the statue of Virgin Mary was unveiled.
The Festival was attended by the Regie’s President and General Manager Mr. Nassif Seklaoui, representing the Chief of the Parliament; President Nabih Berri, the Vice Governor of Banque du Liban Mr. Raed Charafeddine, Tyre’s Maronite Archbishop, Chokrallah Nabil Al Hajj, Tyre’s Roman Catholic Metropolitan Mikhail Abras, Roman Catholic Church Pastor, Father Nicolas Bassil, the President of Tyre’s Municipalities Union Mr. Abdel Mohsen Al Husseini, Tyre’s municipal chief Mr. Hassan Dbouk and his vice Mr. Salah Sebraoui, as well as members of the municipal council, the PR and Media Manager at Al Sadr Foundation Dr. Maha Abou Khalil, the Registrar of Civil Status in Tyre Mr. Ali Derbaa, the chief of fishermen syndicate Mr. Khalil Taha, as well as number of religious, military, political, security, and social figures along with a crowd from Tyre and the nearby.
Following the ceremony of unveiling the se with you the delivery of vital supplies to the town through the municipality. Honestly, these projects and vision would not have existed without the care of President Nabih Berri."
He concluded: "We grew up to the value of definitive belonging to Lebanon, thus we did not and we will never spread division while we belong to one nation."
