After succeeding for the second consecutive year in adhering to quality standards required for the ISO certification, and after signing an agreement with Philip Morris International upon which the Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs (Regie) manufactures certain cigarette types, Regie announces today the manufacture of the first Marlboro pack in its factory, and will eventually manufacture 380 packs per minute which is an equivalent of 33 to 55 boxes per hour.
It is worth noting that Philip Morris products are sold in more than 180 markets and around 80 thousand employees work for the company worldwide. The company also has more than 400 engineers, technicians, and researchers who are working on the development of non-tobacco products.
This initiative comes as a result to Regie’s continuous pursuit to achieve its ambitions and raise the level of its production to become a Middle Eastern center that fully adheres to the international standards.
Regie also aims at developing this agreement in the future to start manufacturing e-cigarettes in Lebanon and also to provide the Lebanese market with products that reduce the dangers of smoking.
In 2014, Regie decided to expand its network of production and introduce new products in the line of 83 mm cigarettes. In this regard, the fint projects that make me envy your devotion to your work;
