Today, a delegation of Fishermen Cooperative presided by Mr. Robert Atieh and Syndicate of Fishermen in Dora presided by Mr. Hannah Al Chawah, visited the Regie’s General Manager Mr. Nassif Seklaoui and offered him shields in appreciation for his efforts in supporting their demands.

Seklaoui then unveiled the memorial plaque that commemorates the event, and received memorial shields in appreciation for his efforts. The municipal chief of Tal Hayat Khalid Al Khalid had held a reception for Seklaoui at the entrance to the town, in the presence of the President of the Union of Municipalities of Akkar Plain, Mohamed El Masri, other municipal chiefs, activists, and farmers. Al-Khalid praised Seklaoui’s great efforts on the head of the Regie and his stand by the farmers. Seklaoui responded with a brief speech in which he thanked the people of the region for their warm reception.
