The event commenced with a welcoming speech from the President of the Union of Baalbek Municipalities, Chafik Kassem Shehadeh, who expressed his pleasure in hosting the training workshop for tobacco farmers. He emphasized that such initiatives contribute to the development of this agriculture among farmers, leading to enhanced production and yields. He wished the trainers and farmers success in their endeavours. Engineer Toros provided the farmers with essential guidance on adopting proper technical methods to care for tobacco nurseries, utilizing the latest agricultural technologies. He outlined practical steps for nurturing the nurseries throughout the cultivation stages, ensuring high-quality crops for the farmers. Engineers Daoud Daoud and Nina Koussa also delivered presentations and guidance on improving and advancing tobacco farming practices among farmers. Concluding the seminar, Mr. Sherif emphasized that the Regie, under the leadership of the Director General, His Excellency Eng. Seklaoui, continuously supports and stands beside the farmers, especially considering the challenging economic conditions faced by the country. This support is manifested through various forms of in-kind assistance and pricing tobacco at a rate denominated in fresh US dollars per kilogram. ">

Grant from Regie to build hall for Saint Georges Church in Debl
The Director General of the Regie Lebanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs Engineer Nassif Seklaoui received a delegation from the town of Dedl and offered them a grant to build a hall for the Saint Georges Church in the town in order to conduct training courses for farmers and other activities
The delegation included the director of Cadmous College Father Jean Youness, reverent fathers Youssef Naddaf and Fady Felfli and other members from the Waqf Committee.

The event commenced with a welcoming speech from the President of the Union of Baalbek Municipalities, Chafik Kassem Shehadeh, who expressed his pleasure in hosting the training workshop for tobacco farmers. He emphasized that such initiatives contribute to the development of this agriculture among farmers, leading to enhanced production and yields. He wished the trainers and farmers success in their endeavours.

Engineer Toros provided the farmers with essential guidance on adopting proper technical methods to care for tobacco nurseries, utilizing the latest agricultural technologies. He outlined practical steps for nurturing the nurseries throughout the cultivation stages, ensuring high-quality crops for the farmers.

Engineers Daoud Daoud and Nina Koussa also delivered presentations and guidance on improving and advancing tobacco farming practices among farmers.

Concluding the seminar, Mr. Sherif emphasized that the Regie, under the leadership of the Director General, His Excellency Eng. Seklaoui, continuously supports and stands beside the farmers, especially considering the challenging economic conditions faced by the country. This support is manifested through various forms of in-kind assistance and pricing tobacco at a rate denominated in fresh US dollars per kilogram.
