Tobacco Farmers in Turkey within a Regie’s capability enhancement program
A group of tobacco farmers heads to Turkey in order to participate in a program managed by the Regie in order to enhance their capabilities and  enable them to discover worldwide latest technologies.
 
The delegation includes phenomenal farmers from North, South, and Bekaa that have met with the Regie’s  General Manager Mr.Nassif Seklaoui    before leaving. Seklaoui underlined the importance of capability enhancement and expertise exchange, whereas his establishment    as well as  tobacco.
 
Farmers remain attentive to this aspect. Seklaoui said that continuous training and learning are crucial in order to take tobacco industry and farming in Lebanon to international levels as well as to enhance the sector’s competition.
ass="bumpedFont15"> succeeded in maintaining this achievement and winning once again the quality system management certification after passing the external audit.

 

Carried out by TUV HELLAS on September 18 and 19 and covering ten departments of the Regie, the thorough audit confirmed that the organization meets all quality system management requirements as to enhancing thequality of its tobacco products, fighting illicit trade, managing risks and protecting the environment, among others. 

The auditors praised the compliance of the Regie with the updated quality standards, commending on its continuous efforts to reach excellence. They expressed their appreciation to the Regie people in general and to the quality management team in particular, applauding their high skills and their outstanding achievement in improving the quality management system.

 

Earning the ISO re-certification falls within the Regie’ssustainable development journey and within its vision to be one of the leading sustainable tobacco businesses in the MENA region.
