The RLTT lighted on Saturday night 12/12/2015 Christmas tree in the municipality of Deir Al Ahmar in Bekaa. This event was funded by the RLTT and under the patronage of the President General Manager Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, represented by the member of the Administration Committee Eng. Mazen Abboud, and in the presence of Financial Supervisor at the RLTT Mr. Annis Iskandar and the Head of Agriculture Department and Purchase of Bekaa Eng. Hassan Hamade, as well as the department’s employees, and in the presence of the Governer of Baalbek – Al Hermel Mr. Bachir Khodor, represented by the secretary of the governorate Mr. Joseph Wakim, the Chief of the Federation of Deir Al Ahmar and the entourage Municipalities, Mr. Milad Al Akouri, Deir Al Ahmar, Northern Bekaa, and Baalbek Maronite Archbishop Hanna Rahme, as well as number of the region’s mayors, notables, and residents of Deir Al Ahmar and nearby villages.
Mr. Milad Al Akouri spoke about the Christmas spirit, and thanked the RLTT for its efforts that are always paid in order to support agriculture and farmers, as well as for the developmental projects supported by the establishment in cooperation with the municipalities. Such projects proved its efficiency in standing by the farmers’ side. In parallel, he addressed to the farmers inciting them to be properly dedicated to tobacco agriculture and to offer the best qualities in order to maintain the continuity entary role between civil society and public establishments, especially the role in which the Regie is engaged in order to voluntarily develop different villages without discrimination. Mr. Aoun wished if all public administrations were functioning the same as the Regie and presided by the right man in the right place.
In turn Mr. Seklaoui stressed the integrality of the project on both social and cultural levels since it aims to achieve welfare for the citizens. Besides, he said that the sustainable development represents a state of harmony and integration between environment and development, which represents one of the main subjects on which the Regie is focusing.
Seklaoui concluded: “the project of restoring facades in Shabriha was launched following the request of its mayor Mr. Rida Aoun, within the coordination with the municipal council in Tyr. I shall take the opportunity to thank it for its achievements, as well as to invite it to pursue such efforts, not only in the city’s neighborhoods but also in its peripheries; especially in slum neighborhoods and Al Bass, as well as here in Shabriha. The execution and the sustainability of our project will be achieved within the participation of different groups.
These activities underline our goal; which is to build an honorable nation and to provide decent life for each and every of our citizens.”
