The Regie’s Department of Agriculture and Purchasing in Northern Lebanon launched agricultural extension seminars in Akkar and Miniyeh-Danniyeh districts, in collaboration with the Leaf Tobacco Directorate.
Several farmers from the Akkar district — specifically from the villages of Kweikhat, Tal Hayat, Mqaitaa, Qaabrin, Tal Maayan, Qlayaat, Zouk al-Hosniyeh, Halba, Arqa, Semmaqiyeh, Hekr al-Dahri, Qubbat Shamra, Sammouniyeh and Burj al-Arab — and from the villages of Ezal and Deir Nbouh, in the Miniyeh-Danniyeh district, took part in the seminars.
Eng. Daoud Daoud, along with agricultural technicians from the Department of Agriculture and Purchasing in Northern Lebanon, delivered presentations on preventive measures and production-related practices in tunbac cultivation.
The sessions were held in the presence of agricultural observers Hassan Tlayje, Karim Tarssisi and Haitham Haddara.
