The RLTT Inaugurates a Water Harvesting Pond in Qabrikha-Marjeioun

Within the commitment of Minister of Finance Mr. Ali Hassan Khalil, the municipality of Qabrikha inaugurated a water harvesting pond coupled with the participation of the RLTT. The ceremony took place in the municipality hall, in the presence of the RLTT’s General Manager Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, Chief of Tobacco Farmers Syndicate in Lebanon Mr. Hassan Fakih, Chief of the municipality Mr. Hussein Fahes, Chief of Jabal Amel Municipalities Union Mr. Ali El-Zein, chief of municipalities and mayors from the region, as well as political, social, religious, educational, and servicing notables. 

 

 

The ceremony was commenced by the National Anthem, and then Mr. Fahes took the floor, wherein he emphasized the importance of such project in “supporting locals, and encouraging them to settle and adopt tobacco farming sector, especially that water was provided for this southern plant”. As well he thanked “the minister of Finance and the RLTT’s General Manager for their efforts to provide farmers with basic requirements to stand in the frontier region”.
