The Regie organized a tobacco stitching competition in Marwahin (Tyre District), in cooperation with the municipality of the village.
The event was held in the Plaza in the presence of the municipal chief Walid Al Akla, his vice and other municipal members. As well, were present the Mayor of the village Mr. Mohammad Saleh Ghanem and a delegation from the Regie that included Jean Ghafiri, Moussa Al Akla, Ali Hamza, Najat Seklaoui, and Rania Najdi; not to forget the crowd of the habitants.
Winners in order were: Dalal Ahmad Seif, Majdia Mohamad Youssef, Samiha Ali Seif, Montaha Mohamad Houssein, and Souheila Kayed Obeid.
The winners received cash prizes from the Regie, which delivered as well souvenirs to all the participants.
The competition was concluded with a folkloric ambiance representing the traditions of Marwahin.

He added: “Our challenges have grown bigger and our dedication is more reliable toward our facility, employees, national economy, and local community”. “Regie reached such position thanks to high professionalism, accurate vision, and determination. However, the most important factors are training and development that enhance performance”. “Shall we wish to apply the sustainability concept, especially on the level of HR, training becomes vital.”
He continued: “we all need to develop ourselves, regardless our age. Though administrative work accumulates the experience, training allows us to prevent the inflexibility.”
Seklaoui stressed that each and every senior staff member at the Regie will conduct an auto-evaluation this year, in order to define his\her points of strength and distinction as well as aspects that require additional dedication. Based on such evaluation, and in cooperation with IFBF, we will organize a training program for senior staff; to be lead by professional trainers specialized in administrative skills.”
He added: “we shall define our leadership and administrative needs in order to enhance our skills and to be prepared both technically and administratively, shall we wish to achieve administrative development on different levels, especially when it comes to introducing QS.”
Addressing senior staff, Seklaoui said: “we rely on your cooperation to boost national industry internationally and on your responsiveness to enhance the quality of management and performance.”
Moreover, he underlined the support of the IFBF “in raising the culture of training and institutional development at the Regie in order to achieve the goals of the already launched progress plan”. “We meet with the IFBF over the responsibility toward our nation, the investment in human capital, and enhancing the experience of workers in public sector.”
Then, Seklaoui honored Mrs. Bsat, offering her a shield “in recognition of her major role in developing the Management concept and especially in the Regie.”
In turn, Bsat thanked Seklaoui for his initiative: “every year, we look forward for this meeting, where teams from Regie and IFBF meet in order to evaluate achievements and learn from their mistakes, as well as to set future projects that we long to realize.”
Bsat stressed: “the Regie is well under way in advancement on several levels”. “We, at IFBF, believe in skills and wise vision that took the Regie to high international level”.
“Today, the Regie’s concerns are centered on the concepts of ISO, sustainable development, participating in international conferences, setting future plan, and obviously believing in the importance of training, which is along with learning the base of success.”
She added: “today, we achieve a level that exceeds training, which require further specialized experiences that can respond to specific needs. Thus, we must adopt more advanced and opened learning methods, such as consultancy services, individual follow-up, and workshops.”
She concluded: “cooperating with the Regie, we constantly feel proud of high creativity and achievement that are the result of the Regie’s believe in investing in human capital and the strive and hard work of its team toward the better.”
