The Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs (Regie), represented by the Leaf Tobacco Manager, Engineer Mawla Abed El Mawla sponsored on Saturday, 16 September the yearly event of Al-Fajr Cultural Club – Al Kharayeb in South Lebanon in the presence of political, social, religious, and cultural figures, as well as heads of municipalities, mayors and residents of the mentioned town.
During the event, Eng. El Mawla delivered a speech to honor the students who participated in the summer courses, which included courses of the Holy Quran, English and drawing.
For his part, the president of the club Mr. Kassem Hayek expressed his gratitude to the Regie for its continuous contributions and for the roles assumed by its management to develop the local communities.
The event included a theatrical play for the Director Hussein Shakroun and Actress Hala Jamal. The play focused on the Lebanese farmer who is still standing steadfast in his land and who, on top of all his sufferings, still carries the problems of the entire Arab World.
The other part of the event included the display for certain crafts, drawings, and light industry works that the town is known for.
To wrap up the event, a village dinner buffet comprised from home-made and traditional dishes was organized by the women and the young ladies of the town to reflect the cultural and traditional image of the town.
The statement concluded: “At last, those persons shall review their stance because this is not how matters should be dealt with”.
