The Regie launched today, Thursday, its training calendar 2016, which took place for the third consecutive year in cooperation with the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan, affiliated to the Ministry of Finance.
In this occasion, a conference was held at the Regie headquarter in Hadath, in order to evaluate the training plan of 2015, as well as to discuss the training calendar 2016, in the presence of the Regie’s General Manager Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, the President of the IFBF Mrs. Lamiaa` Al Moubayed Bsat, members of the Administration Committee Georges Hobeika, Mahmoud Sanjakdar, Dr. Issam Salman, and Mazen Abboud, representatives of Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, Customs Higher Council, National Network of Training, as well as Head of Departments at the Regie. The conference was hosted by the Chief of Evaluation and Improvement of Performance Mrs. Abir Mokarzel.

In turn, Seklaoui underlined the importance of the training calendar 2016, which translates the Regie&rsquocolor: #231f20; text-align: justify;">
Seklaoui indicated that the Regie is about to launch the activities of its 80th anniversary during the current year, adding: “we cannot forget the efforts of our precedents, who are numerous, and we feel proud of the accomplishments that we had achieved during the last few years.”
He continued: “the work that we have lately accomplished concerning the sustainable development plan is nothing but a proof that we are hardly working for a brighter tomorrow within a clear and defined vision.
Thus, we aim to become an exemplary establishment among other public facilities, as well as a pioneer tobacco business on the international level.”
Sekloui stressed the confidence of the Regie “in its values of continuous improvement, belonging, building capacity, and supporting national economy, among other…” He added: “we sought to rearrange our system although the critical situation that we are witnessing (…) and we chose to be a unique establishment and to master competition in order to reach higher ranks.”
Seklaoui announced that the Regie will soon launch the sustainable development plan in different agricultural regions in order to “establish a network of security for local communities”. He added that such step comes “as a result of skillful cooperation with our partners”, whereas the Regie had conducted a survey in the involved areas in order to “well understand the priorities of local communities, and thus to lay a clear development strategy”. Seklaoui concluded by ensuring that “the plan will be officially launched on March 22nd, whereas required financing will be provided.”
The IFBF’s President, Mrs. Lamia Moubaied Bsat “proudly” underlined “the huge achievements that the Regie had been accomplishing in record time, such as launching the annual training calendar for 2016, projecting the sustainable development plan and the human resources development plan, as well as tens of other training sessions.” She added: “while we cooperate with the Regie, we constantly feel proud of the creative and successful work we achieve together.” She referred such success to “Seklaoui’s as well as other members of the Administration Committee faith in the importance of investment in human resources”, as well to “the persistence of other managers, head of departments, and working groups in order to reach the summit”.
Moreover, she indicated that the ongoing year will witness “two special occasions; first the Regie’s 80th anniversary, and second the IFBF’s 20th anniversary.” Thus she wished that this year would bring more ambitions and prospective visions for both establishments.
Later, the councilor and coach Mohammad Shamas delivered a demonstrative speech about the sustainable development plan, during which the plan was discussed.
Finally, the Ksara’s experience in the domain of sustainable development was shared by Mrs. Marie Louise Babouian. Actually, the senior staff meeting is held for a third consecutive year; whereas the 2014’s meeting was held in Jbeil and 2015’s in Tyre.
