The Regie Organizes a Seminar for Tobacco Farmers in Deir al-Ahmar

The Regie organized a seminar in Deir al-Ahmar Women Association’s hall for tobacco farmers. The event was attended by the president of the association, a representative from the Tobacco Farmers Syndicate in the Bekaa region, the mayor of the town and a number of farmers.

 

 

 

The head of Agriculture and Purchases’ Office in the Bekaa, Mr. Hossam Sharif, and engineers Wassim Taurus, Daoud Daoud and Nina Koussa were also present.

During the seminar, Engineer Taurus discussed the Regie's program aimed at improving crop quality, producing the finest types of tobacco at the lowest possible cost, and ensuring the sustainability of tobacco cultivation in the village by incorporating state-of-the-art technologies.
