On the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labor, observed on June 12th of each year, and given that child labor is considered a complicated global issue, especially when it is the result of cultural and traditional practices, or poor economic conditions in some communities, and after adding a clause in both the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention of the International Labor Organization in 1973 related to child labor, stipulating a minimum age for work, and given that Lebanon still struggles, like other countries, from this issue,
and whereas the Regie is committed to implementing the United Nations’ sustainable development goals and adhering to the industry’s best international standards in tobacco cultivation and production,
