The Lebanese "Regie" continues its efforts in combating smuggle operations, by seizing large quantities of unlicensed cigarettes and electronic cigarette packages for vapes, cigars and smuggled and forged tobacco. In addition to a factory for manufacturing hookah tobacco replicas of various flavors and a printing press for counterfeiting packaging for hookah tobacco.

The “Regie” raided several areas where the confiscations took place: Ajaltoun, Zouk Mosbeh, Ghazir, Bourj Hammoud, Aïsha Bakkar, Tariq al-Jdidé, Hay al-Sellom, Sodeco, Hamra, Tripoli, Mina, Chiyah, Sfeir, al-Kafaat, Barbour, Haret Hreik and Saint Therese.
A record of violations were filed and will be reviewed by the appropriate legal authorities.
