The Regie for Tobacco and Tobacco Products Control Management held a celebration today, Thursday, at its headquarters, marking its achievement in becoming the first Lebanese public facility to obtain the ISO 45001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Nassif Seklaoui, the CEO and General Director confirmed that implementing this standard enhances its reputation and "reduces the cost of health bills and assets insurance”.
During the celebration attended by members of the management committee including engineers Georges Hobeika and Dr. Issam Salman, Seklaoui explained that "the pillars distinguishing the Regie from other public institutions" are "its confidence that no leadership can success alone unless it is at one heart with its work team” and “its belief that success is not only measured by achieving financial profits and revenues but by creating a positive impact in the environment in which it operates, hence its effort in the field of occupational health and safety”. As for the third pillar’s conviction, "success does not stop at one achievement, but rather a continuous journey of improvement”.
