The Lebanese Tobacco and Tobacco Inventory Department "Regie" continued its efforts to combat smuggling. It seized large quantities of smuggled and counterfeit cigars and tobacco, in addition to a laboratory and factory for counterfeiting and packing tobacco, as a result of raids in Antelias, Dbayeh, Nahr al-Kalb, Zouk Mosbeh, Bourj Hammoud, Sodeco, the southern suburb, Khaldeh, and Bir Hassan.
Reports were filed against the violators and referred to the specialized judiciary.
