The Regie is still receiving this year’s tobacco harvest in Srifa center, which was allocated to a number of villages in Tyre district. The committees estimate and weigh the crops and record the price per kilo, paying between 40.000 L.L. and 50.000 L.L, according to the farmer Abbas Najdi, who has stressed that the production is in decline due to the high cost of agriculture.
Some farmers hoped that next year’s harvest would be more abundant, considering the increase in prices in line with the cost.
The farmer Hussein Rmeiti pointed out the importance of having faithful persons responsible for this agriculture such as the Director General, Engineer Nassif Seklaoui under the sponsorship and of his Excellency President Nabih Berri, who ensures its continuity.
The center continues to receive the crops, taking into consideration the harsh conditions and the crisis that faces Lebanon.
