Regie raids warehouse containing counterfeit tobacco products
The Anti-Smuggling Department at La Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs (Regie) raided a warehouse in the “Saint Therese” area containing massive quantities of smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products.
In its statement, Regie mentioned that the raid was on the backdrop of an order from the Financial Attorney General, and noted that fines against the concerned people were worth millions of Lebanese pounds and arrest warrants were issued against them.
It also stressed that it will proceed with its efforts aimed at combating smuggling and the imitation of products.
