The anti-smuggling department at La Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs (Regie) held a number of raids in the regions of Tyr, Maaroub, Kafarseer, Adshit, and Tripoli, where it confiscated large quantities of smuggled tobacco products and tombac.

Fines against smugglers were worth millions of Lebanese pounds and arrest warrants were issued against them and referred to the concerned authorities.
