The Director General of La Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs ET Tombacs (Regie), Engineer Nassif Seklaoui inaugurated a hall in Tal Hayat, Akkar, in the presence of the Municipality’s Head Khaled Khaled, the coordinator of the Future Movement in Akkar, Attorney Khaled Taha, the Head of the Municipal Union of Akkar, Mohammed Al-Masri, the Head of the Municipal Union of Nahr El-Ostwan, Omar El-Hayek, the Head of the Municipal Union of Arqa, Walid Haddara, the Head of the Municipal Union of El-Mqayte’a Ahmad El-Mir represented by the Head of Burj El-Arab Municipality Aref Shkheidem, the Head of the Municipal Union of El-Sheft Antoine Abboud, and a number of mayors and figures from the region.
Following the national anthem, a welcome speech was delivered by the host of the event Mahmoud El-Joulani and then another speech by the Head of the Municipality Khaled Khaled who expressed his gratitude to Engineer Seklaoui and all the officials at Regie for their good gestures towards the marginalized towns of Akkar.
“We can never express enough gratitude and appreciation. You are helping the farmers and their families, so they may stay in their land.”
Mr. Khaled also voiced the gratitude of Al-Samouniyeh residents where Regie had recently built a social hall, and thanked the former head of Berqayel Municipality who named one of the streets in honor of Eng. Seklaoui.
